Bell Classics have been offering engineering excellence since 1989.

Our high-quality facilities – including full engine building, flow benching and tuning – allow us to construct or rebuild almost any part to high quality and specification.

Engine building and tuning

Our engine build services place an emphasis on accurate measurement and engineering to ensure a precise fit, which in turn ensures that the engines we build have great power and longevity.

The reciprocating components and rotating masses within our engines are all expertly balanced to within 35-gram millimetre for road use and down to 20-gram millimetre for a race.

We have a Serdi S3 Millennium Cylinder Head Rotating Machining Tool for multi-angle valve seat work, valve seat installation, valve guide replacement and competition valve work and lifter bore work.

Our proprietary flow bench operates at the equivalent of 30″ of water, a level at which most sports car engines flow. We use it to measure flow efficiency of the intake and exhaust ports, as well as carburettors, manifolds and even air filters. This equipment complements the Serdi seat cutting tool nicely.

R&D

Our R&D work sits comfortably alongside our engineering work. There are many areas where quality R&D can help. If we see a part that we believe can be bettered we will look into developing it. Take a look at some of the R&D work we carry out.

There is almost nothing we couldn’t create given the right budget, but we would prefer to offer advice on the best approach, using our experience to determine whether a specific project was worth progressing.
