Designed by Pininfarina, the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti takes its name from Sergio Scaglietti, the Modenese stylist and coachbuilder who created what are considered to be some of the most beautiful Ferraris of the 1950s and 60s. Built at Ferrari’s Carrozzeria Scaglietti plant between 2004 and 2010, the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti displays characteristic echoes of the unique Ferrari 375 MM that film director Roberto Rosellini commissioned for Ingrid Bergman, his film-star wife, in 1954.
With an aluminium body mated to an aluminium spaceframe, the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti was Ferrari’s second all-aluminium model. Its roomy 2+2 seating configuration, large boot capacity and glorious 5.7-litre V12 engine coupled to the company’s famous 6-speed F1A semi-automatic, paddle-shift transmission system, raised the term ‘Grand Tourer’ to a new level. Indeed, it was one of the fastest four-seat production cars of its time.
Beautiful to look at and a pleasure to drive, the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti is an exceptionally practical proposition. Our car comes with a fully-stamped service book detailing a thorough serving history; it’s been fully inspected and serviced and is offered at a very reasonable price.
